Managing Orders

Once configured, managing orders is largely automated.

Order Flow

  1. Customer Places Order: Selects a NowPost pickup point.
  2. Order Sync: The order appears in your Shopify "Orders" list.
  3. Fulfillment Request:
    • If Auto-Fulfillment is ON: A request is sent to NowPost immediately.
    • If OFF: You must click "Request Fulfillment" on the order page manually.
  4. Label Generation: NowPost accepts the request and generates a tracking number.
  5. Update: The Shopify order status updates to "Fulfilled" and the tracking number is added.

Viewing Pickup Details

To see which pickup point a customer selected:

  1. Open the Order in Shopify.
  2. Look for the "Additional Details" or "Notes" section (depending on your theme).
  3. You will see the PUDO Point Name and Address.

Handling Cancellations

If you cancel an order in Shopify:

  1. The cancellation is synced to NowPost.
  2. If the package hasn't been picked up by logistics yet, the delivery is cancelled.
  3. If the package is already in transit, you may need to contact support to intercept it.

Troubleshooting

"No rates available for this address"

  • Ensure the customer's address is in a supported region (e.g., Nigeria).
  • Check that your default product dimensions/weights are set (rates depend on weight).

Order not syncing

  • Check the App Dashboard for error logs.
  • Ensure the shipping method selected was indeed "NowPost".
